Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy applies to taxacount.com ("PAT," "we," "us," "our") and describes how we treat personal information when you use PAT’s websites (the “Websites”). The information that we collect and store during normal use of the Websites is used to monitor use of the Websites and to help further development of our products and services. In general, you can visit the Websites without telling us who you are or providing data that personally identifies you. Such use does not result in any personally identifiable data being collected or stored. However, PAT collects certain personally identifiable information about you when you choose to submit such information to us through an online form, email, or other method (the “Information). The information we collect depends on what you provide us and may include your first and last name, your home or physical street address, your email address, phone number, or birthday. We collect and store the Information that you provide to us.

DIRECT COLLECTION AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

The information you provide to PAT will only be processed for the following purposes: a) To offer PAT mandatory account status E-Mails (password reset, E-Mail verification, welcome E-Mail, etc.) b) To identify you when you log in to our Website. c) To receive marketing E-Mails from us (optional consent opt-in). We may also collect and store your Information if you provide it for invoicing and replying only. Data processing for the above purpose will be carried out via automated electronic means only. If you have submitted Information through the Websites and wish we cease using it for the purposes submitted, please get in touch with us via email at na@taxacount.com

COOKIE POLICY

We may also collect information that does not reveal your specific identity or does not directly relate to an individual ("Other Information"). This Other Information may include browser and device information, information collected through cookies, pixel tags, and other technologies, demographic information and other information provided by you, and aggregated information.

To ensure that our Websites function properly for all users, we may use certain information collected by most browsers or automatically through your device. This information could include whether you are using a Macintosh or Windows computer, your device manufacturer and model, and your Internet browser type and version.

Cookies are pieces of information stored directly on the computer that you are using. Cookies allow us to collect information such as browser type, time spent on the Websites, pages visited, language preferences, and other anonymous traffic data. We do not save cookies to your computer unless it is necessary to perform an action requested by you.

If you do not want information collected through the use of cookies, most browsers have a simple procedure that allows you to automatically decline cookies or choose to decline or accept the transfer to your computer of a particular cookie (or cookies) from a particular site.

Pixel tags (also known as web beacons and clear GIFs) may be used in connection with some services to, among other things, track the actions of website users (including email recipients), measure the success of our marketing campaigns, and compile statistics about website usage and response rates.

Your "IP Address" is a number automatically assigned to the computer you use by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). An IP Address may be identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever a user accesses the Sites, along with the time of the visit and the visited page (s). Collecting IP Addresses is standard practice and is done automatically by many web pages, applications, and other services. We use IP addresses for purposes such as calculating the usage level of the websites, diagnosing server problems, and administering the websites.

Please note that we may use and disclose Other Information, which does not reveal your identity, for any purpose except where we are required to do otherwise under applicable law.

The California Online Privacy Protection Act requires us to disclose how we will handle your browser’s Do Not Track setting. Currently, we cannot sync with such settings to ensure Do Not Track requests are honored because no Do Not Track standard has been adopted by the World Wide Web Consortium.

INDIRECT COLLECTION AND PROCESS OF PERSONAL DATA

We will indirectly collect your IP address based on the system you use to access our Website via our secure web server logging system. We collect this information to detect and prevent fraud and unauthorized access and maintain our systems' security. We will use but not collect/store your geolocation based on your IP address to personalize your experience using the PAT website.
